We went to HAWAII for a week!
Dustin was already there on business and had a few days off so we went and joined him. Thanks to his lots of traveling in the past we used his frequent flier miles and got flights for SUPER cheap. :)
It also just so happen that we decided that with all the learning opportunities we were given that we just might as well start school while we were at it.
So without further ado I present our vacation and first few days of school.
Aug 21 - We arrived in the late afternoon. A special thanks to Danell for taking us to the airport at dark:30 and to Amber for picking us up. We met up with Dustin shortly after, dropped stuff off at the hotel and headed straight for the beach. I was eager to feel the cool sand under my feet after a long day.
Aug 22 - Dustin had to work soooo the kids and I walked to the Honolulu Zoo. First Day of School 2012-2013 has begun.
Aug 23 - Dustin's first day off. We head to the best beach ever. . . Bellows. :) Learning opportunity day #2, mom gets stung by a Man-o-War. . . No Fun! But it sparked some good learning. PS. It wasn't the worst thing ever but I can definitely say it was VERY uncomfortable. Luckily it wore off pretty quick. What didn't wear off however was the BAD sunburn Dustin got. :(
Aug 24 - Dustin still hurting pretty bad but suffering thru it for us to have fun. We head to Sealife Park. We did things most people don't get the chance to do or learn about in school. We swam with the rays and fed the fish while snorkeling AND later fed the sea lions. :) Unfortunate part about all four of us doing both. . . . no pictures of us actually DOING it. Bummer.
