Our adventurous 2008

Mommy:

In lieu of our Christmas letter, which I soooooo forgot to put in with our Christmas cards, I figured I'd post it on the blog. LOL OOPS!

This year has been the busiest and craziest yet in the Lee household.

Adam Colby Elwood was born March 5, via C-section. Weighing 7lbs 5oz and 18.75in long. He is almost 10 months old now and a truely a whirlwind. Crawling, climbing and getting into everything. He has 5 teeth, with a 6th coming in shortly. He is now 18lbs 12oz and 27in long. He is smart as a whip, just like Kadi, and can already say and sign several words. Some said words include dada, mama, kadi, baba, badada (banana), newest said word, "poop". hahaha He can sign milk, more, diaper, cookie (although it looks just like more. LOL), and eat. Kadi is trying VERY hard to teach him candy. LOL He thinks Kadi is the coolest thing in this world.

Kadi is still loving homeschooling, she is on kindergarten and some first grade level stuff. Her favorite thing to do is write. She can read some stuff and is getting really good at spelling. She got her first haircut a couple months ago, they cut 8 inches off. At 3 1/2 yrs old she is now 38lbs and 40in tall. She enjoys singing and dancing and will be back in gymnastics again after the first of the year.

Amy is still having a blast being a stay at home mommy. It is a real chore, but wonderful blessing to get to stay home and raise the babies. She recovered well from her C-section with Adam in March. Then surprisingly after having 5 months of lots of painful "episodes" as she called them, and seeing 6 different Drs, they finally discovered what was wrong. Her "episodes" were actually gallbladder attacks, most symptomatic gallstones are diagnosed within the first 2 attacks, she had 19 total. After being diagnosed she had gallbladder surgery the following week, August 28th. She recovered well from surgery and is in MUCH better shape. She lost all her weight from her pregnancy (and surgery) and is now working off that baby weight she never lost from her pregnancy with Kadi. hahaha Hoping to hit her goal by Adam's 1st birthday.

Dustin is still working an unbelievable work schedule and is counting down the days until he gets to leave the Army. . .as well as the days until we move to Colorado. His big news this year? We have decided that, although we make some pretty cute kids, we will no longer be populating the world with anymore of them. He had his vasectomy in July. We couldn't be happier. LOL

Other fun stuff this year include visits from Amy's sister, Ashley, Amy's mom (Grammy), Dustin's dad (Grandpa) and Amy's best friend, Amy, and her family. Their visits are forever cherished and were sure to cheer up homesick Amy and Dustin. LOL

Since I am posting this after Christmas, I will say we had a wonderful Christmas. The kids are as spoiled as ever. . . OK OK so are Amy and Dustin. hehe

May God continue to bless us in the year 2009.

God bless all who read this.

Amy, Dustin, Kadence and Adam
