Space

So um yes we get just a tad bit into homeschool. hehe We have what we call our "school wall" We usually use it to post fun stuff about our current science lesson.

Well we are currently studying 6 weeks worth of Space. . . including Astronauts and Space Shuttles, Sun and Moon, Stars and constellations, and all the Planets. It really has been a blast. Some of the interesting stuff we have done are. . . make a space shuttle, eat actual astronaut food (freeze dried ice cream sandwiches), pretend we are astronauts and discuss what we would take with us to the moon (clever Kadi suggested we take food, hahaha), make telescopes that "view" the big dipper, paint all the phases of the moon, construct planets out of construction paper, a solar system model and recently bought a telescope. I can't even begin to tell you how much both kids are really enjoying learning about space, even little Adam almost has all the planets down pat. hehe
